Love: How to send love notes.

Love: How to send love notes.

I love writing, that's a given.  But I love writing by hand, especially notes and letters.  There is something to be said about taking the time and handwriting a note or a letter. It shows you've put in extra effort and care, especially if its written neatly.

I think the the same feeling comes across when you send the people you love notes.  Yeah you can send a text, but a note is more touching. Taking time out of your day to leave your boo a note makes them feel special and keeps the intimacy alive in your relationship.

What to say?

Say what's in your heart it can be a sonnet or simple phrase like "I love you".  If you know your mate is about to have big presentation or a stressful work day ahead of them, maybe some words

Here are some wording to get you started:

  • You're amazing!

  • Thanks for always being there for me.

  • Have a great day, and remember I love you!

  • XOXO

  • "You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams." ― Dr. Seuss

  • "I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close." ― Pablo Neruda, 100 Love Sonnets

Where to put the note?

A love note can be anywhere you think your love will find it.  Depending on the personality of your significant other, it may embarrass them if you put where others can see.

  • Post-It on bathroom mirror

  • Attached to the sandwich in their lunch bag

  • On top of or inside their laptop

  • On their coffee mug

  • Next to their phone or other items they use on a regular basis
